I auditioned for Oprah's new network in June of 2010! The premise behind the show idea was to encoure women like myself to shred their closets of things they weren't using. We have tons of clothes that we don't wear becaus they are too small, too big, style change, and for many other reasons.
I will be the first to admit that I am a recovering shopholic. There. I said it. My name is "De'Vonna and I'm a shop-a-holic". BUT, that's in the past, I have long won the battle against spending money on things I already have. That has gotten me too many black tops, too many white shirts, too many black slacks, and too much of everything sigghhhh. Well, you get it! The consequence of an ex-shopaholic is that you end up with so many clothes you don't know WHAT the heck to wear, EVER!
Getting dressed is such a chore...arrrgggghhh. I will admit it, I change clothes at least three times a day, even when I have a couple events a day, that's 3x2=6! Yikes. I need serious fashion advice! Okay, okay, back to the topic at hand. Why not give those clothes away to charity?
Well...I spent precious time making this video and many of you voted for me. In fact I had over 10,000 votes!! Sadly, Oprah was too busy planning for her new network and she never really did watch "all" of the videos. So, I scream from the mountain tops, "I TOTALLY FORGIVE YOU OPRAH!!!", "AND.... I UNDERSTAND.
The fact remains, I had a pretty good idea, and I just don't believe there's any way that Oprah ever saw this video. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If she had, I'd be raiding closets around the world right now, don't you agree?
